Here and everywhere

Aya Iwaya and Flora & Laura collaboration

Laura created a composition and the illustrator Aya Iwaya immortalised it to a poster. The artwork has been inspired by the Inogashira park in Kichijyoji, Tokyo, where the illustrator Aya Iwaya spent most of her youth. The outcome is the world that no one has ever seen; where Japanese and Finnish colors, shapes, and sense are visually harmonized. Digitally printed on Hahnemühle’s Matt Fiber paper, the poster measures 70 x 50 cm.

Aya Iwaya grew up in Japan and became an illustrator and graphic designer in Finland. Her work is rooted in wabi-sabi Japanese philosophy. However, often her bright color palettes remind foreigners of Finland. She plays with intersection of reality and unreality, perspectives of space and time.
